Our Story
JR Thomas Group, Inc. (JRT) is a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE), recognized by the City of Houston as both a Certified Business and a Local Business, and a proud participant in the Hire Houston First program. We are based in Houston and serve the Greater Houston area and surrounding regions, helping drive local and regional economic growth.
Founded in 2009, JRT has built a reputation for reliable, high-quality construction management, facility maintenance, repairs, and restoration. Guided by our motto, Building Trust With Quality Work, every project reflects our commitment to safety, accountability, and dependable results across public and institutional environments.
In 2023, longtime team leaders Kimberly Wilder (President) and Jorge Marcano (Vice President) purchased the company. Together, they bring over 40 years of combined experience in construction, financial management, and project oversight. Under their leadership, JRT continues to grow while strengthening operations and strategic vision.
Today, we proudly support a wide range of public sector and educational clients, including the University of Houston–Downtown, Texas Woman’s University, Fort Bend ISD, Houston ISD, Aldine ISD, and Spring Branch ISD. These partnerships reflect who we are: a team that delivers on time, gets the job done right, and lives by our promise of Quality Work.
