Yates High School Simulator
The scope of work included the construction of a new enclosed simulator room using drywall and steel stud framing based on provided design plans. The build-out featured installation of a hollow metal door and frame, a tempered glass viewing window, and custom wood trim to support visual display monitors. All walls, doors, and frames were finished with paint to create a clean, functional training environment.
Electrical work was a critical component of the project, requiring installation of multiple dedicated circuits to support simulator equipment, student stations, and IT infrastructure. This included dedicated power for four student stations, a bridge simulator console, instructor station, and IT rack. Lighting fixtures were relocated and reconfigured to align with the simulator layout, and surface-mounted raceways were installed to accommodate power and data pathways.
The project required coordination with third-party vendors responsible for specialized simulator equipment, data cabling, and technology installation. JR Thomas Group ensured that all infrastructure, power distribution, and wall assemblies were properly installed to support seamless integration of the simulator system within the compressed 4-week construction schedule.
