Project Information
The project required the construction of two specialized outdoor training courses, a 14-station Obstacle Course and an 8-station LRC Course, along with new perimeter fencing. Both courses had to be built to precise design specifications, incorporating durable materials, safety measures such as fall protection, and long lasting foundations for high impact use.

Reserved Officers’ Training Course Build
The client required the design and construction of two outdoor training facilities, a 14-station Obstacle Course and an 8-station Leadership Reaction Course (LRC), to support ROTC student training and development. The courses needed to be safe, durable, and built to design specifications, incorporating fall protection, reinforced foundations, and weather-resistant materials. In addition, perimeter fencing was requested to ensure safety, security, and controlled access to the training areas.

What We Did
For the Obstacle Course, we completed all labor and installation of a 14-station layout, including grubbing the layout area, installing 6”x6” pressure-treated perimeter timbers with pins, and placing rubber mulch over heavy-duty landscape fabric for fall protection. All vertical posts were installed to a minimum depth of 36” with rebar cages, and all connections used galvanized through-bolted fasteners for durability.
For the LRC Course, we constructed an 8-station layout with obstacles (Tasks 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, and 15), defined with 6”x6” landscape timbers, heavy-duty fabric, and rubber mulch. Concrete task items were replicated using engineered wood to meet design requirements.
The scope also included installing approximately 445 linear feet of 6-foot-tall black vinyl-coated fencing with privacy slats and divider panels for safety and separation.
RESULT
Both courses and the fencing system were completed to design specifications, creating a safe, durable, and functional training environment. The project was delivered on time and within budget, with enhanced user safety and long-term resilience built into every component.
